As I was brainstorming what to make for this next batch it dawned on me... how about mountain/landscape rings?! This idea began as a sketch and was slowly handcrafted in to metal. The Canyonlands Ring is handmade from sterling silver and copper and features the view from the needles in Canyonlands National Park.

To capture the cedar mesa sandstone I used copper sheet metal and soldered in bits of sterling silver to evoke the colorful striations in the sandstone. Nestled in the sky is a 14k yellow gold-fill full moon. The metalwork is hand fabricated above a kingman turquoise from Arizona with a silver dot soldered below.

The Canyonlands Ring is a finger size 8.50 and is hand fabricated on a durable half round sterling silver ring band. The metalwork is approximately 1” x 3/4”.
