The Painted Desert Earrings feature Painted Desert jasper from the Owyhee mountains in Southeastern Oregon. I was immediately drawn to the natural color palette of these stones and wanted to create a design that leaned into that high desert feel. I hand fabricated hawks below and did a technique that fuses silver dust to the silver to add the texture. They are lightly polished to bring out detail and can be worn reversibly with a pine tree cut out on the back side of the earrings.

Handcrafted entirely from sterling silver and adorned on sterling silver lever-back ear wires that clasp open and closed to ensure they won’t fall off while wearing. They are approximately 2 1/8” from top to bottom and 3/4” wide. An ode to the high desert!
