The Red Tailed Hawk necklace features a gemstone called Paint Stone and that was mined near Death Valley in California, where collecting is no longer allowed. Any of this rock material you see is from old collections. Off set in the chain is a hand fabricated red tailed hawk. I used copper to capture the red of the tail feathers! Hand textured and polished to glow, it’s an emblem of the high desert.

This necklace is on an 18” sterling silver chain. The pendant is approximately 1” from top to bottom and 5/8” wide. The hawk is approximately 5/8” in length and 1/4” wide.
